We are setting up to re-record our debut album “Semblance” in November. It is an album that we have really put our hearts and souls into. It starts in tragedy and ends in an elevation of understanding.
We appreciate the patience. We really can’t wait for you to hear it.
Borrowing: It is a mantra that does not only apply to the band but to all sentient beings that inhabit this planet. We all borrow time, space, love, money, ideas and art. Through our borrowed and shared experiences we connect with each other and become more.
sem·blance
/ˈsembləns/
noun
the outward appearance or apparent form of something, especially when the reality is different.
"For me, songwriting started as a therapeutic outlet, dealing with a breakup and dropping out of college. It has since grown into a means of understanding for me. A big reason for doing music is my family who has always pushed me to pursue my art and my friends who come out to our shows to support us. It has become bigger than just us and I think its beautiful. My father was an immigrant from Cuba and tells me how growing up he had a small drum set he made out of ice cream cartons but never had time to learn while making a living with his father. It reminds me that it is a privilege to even play music, and I am blessed have such an elated time with my bandmates on stage."
Jake Hoffman
"I have ADHD and playing drums was really stimulating as a kid. I like making people happy and people love drums."
Elliot Seidel
"My passion in music comes from wanting to give back to all those who have believed in me and helped me grow in my life. I find pure joy in creating a connection with the crowd and drawing them in to partake in the experience. My biggest influence on bass, is my father. He's the one who taught me 'Iron man by Black Sabbath' and simply turned me loose at the age of 10 to teach myself how to play and grow. Close 2nd is Geddy Lee."
Dylan Barnick
"All my emo friends started playing in highschool and i didn't want to be the odd guy out. So i picked up the guitar and stuck with it after they gave up."
